Many of you have shared your challenges and celebrations, and I'm honoured to be a part of your journey, but the theme this year seems to be this: "Know your value, and you will thrive."
Each year, I clear the clutter from both life and business, and work with clients to do the same.
- We revisit our goals, core drivers and sources of passion and energy,
- We eliminate 'extras' that don't meaningfully contribute to those goals,
- We FIND enhancers, those things and relationships that DO support our goals.
It really is that simple. The most challenging aspect of this is - Deciding, and then Committing to, those goals. What would it take for you to focus on and commit to your true, intrinsic goals?
Speaking & Impact
I have a few blog posts that point to Pareto's 80/20 - it's one of Successiory's core values:
- Who are the 20% of people in your life who are 80% positives (clients, referrals, love and encouragement)?
- What are the 20% of activities that generate 80% of your revenue, 80% of your energy or even 80% of your time-savings?
- What are the 20% of things (as we're still a consumer society) that really give you 80% return in some way?
Now, the ratio may not always be 80/20, but you get the message. If you're finding that 24/7 is not enough time, why not focus only focus on these first? See if you ever return to the others.
As an introvert, I have to maximize my time with people in order to avoid being drained quickly. If you've been networking without focus, introvert or not, you know how quickly you can lose morale. If you get clear on your ideal client - your ideal audience - then speaking to that audience can truly be your Networking 80/20.
What you have to say, what you share when you're networking, in conversations, in supporting clients, can help many more people. Whether you're speaking as an expert to sell services or as a paid speaker on your expertise, you can reach a lot more people in a far shorter space of time. I'm not alone in this. What's keeping you from stepping into your value, into what you want, what you're worth?

TV, "Do You Run Your Business or Does Your Business Run You", I spoke a lot about giving yourself permission to run your business Your way. I know it's great to have everyone like you and want to work with you, but is it really? Can you truly be everything to everyone? If you haven't seen this, take a look:
[Read "The Audacity" for a powerful boost.] If you're breathing a bit deeper, if your shoulders feel less burdened and you have a renewed sense of "yes! I know what I want and it IS possible to do it my way", what does that mean to you? What does:
- Your pricing, packages and live or automated offers,
- Your client engagement process (including social media) - your role, your clients' roles - and
- Your schedule - I mean your truly 'available', truly productive, hours,
Have to be to let you not 'barely survive', but thrive, in business and still leave room for a life?
Remember, whatever business you build - and however it works - you want it to be something you can do for a long time. You invest time, energy, money and so much more that you can't get back, in your business. Why not create a sustainable model that will take you 5, 10, 15+ years into the future? It's a lot easier to start as you mean to go on than to change course later.
